Masía la Mota Awards and Best Rural Hotel in the Valencian Community 2016
The charming hotel Masia La Mota receives the award for best rural hotel in the first edition of the Ser Viajeros Comunitat Valenciana 2016 awards.
The programme goes a step further and organises its first SER Viajeros Comunitat Valenciana Tourism Awards gala under the categories of:
Best “Temple of Good Eating” Award.
Best Rural Hotel Award
Award for Tourism Promotion of a Municipality
Sports Tourism Event Award
With exceptional presenters, Inma Pardo and Santiago; in a place that could not be more charming, the theatre of Morella, the first gala of the SER Viajeros Comunitat Valenciana Tourism Awards was held on 17 December 2016.
The awards were presented at a ceremony attended by the Regional Secretary for Tourism Francesc Colomer Sánchez, who directs and coordinates the management centres that report to him, the mayor of the town of Morella, Rhamsés Ripollés, and leading figures in tourism in the Valencian Community and Cadena Ser.
The famous singer-songwriter Keru Sánchez, from Cordoba, capable of fusing the copla with regaee, enlivened the evening with his compositions addressed to the award winners and to Morella as the host town.
The prizes awarded were as follows:
Best Rural Hotel Award for Masía la Mota, collected by the manager of our hotel Indira Amaya.
Prize for the tourism promotion of a municipality for Peñíscola.
Award for the Best Hiking and Natural Areas initiative for Itinerantur
Award for the Best Temple of Good Eating for Food Club in Valencia
Award for the Best Sports Tourism Event for the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon

t is a program by the Generalitat that, through the Valencian Tourism Agency, promotes a culture of quality among tourism companies and entities with the aim of constantly and sustainably improving the services offered and making excellence the hallmark of tourism in the Valencian Community. To achieve this, we support the acquisition of certificates based on internationally recognised (ISO 9001/14001), European (EMAS Regulation and European Ecolabel), and national (UNE standards) norms, all of which are highly reputable. It is made up of all the tourism companies and entities in the Valencian Community that hold quality, environmental, or accessibility certificates, obtained after passing rigorous audits that endorse their management’s focus on continuous improvement and their services’ focus on tourist satisfaction.
Commitment to Tourism Quality
It is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism, with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which works with tourism companies/services from up to 32 different trades, with the ultimate goal of improving the tourist experience and satisfaction. The SCTE Destinos-SICTED pursues a uniform level of quality in the services offered to tourists within the same destination, so that there are no substantial quality deficiencies between the different products (agents) that make up the destination’s offering and, therefore, no negative impact on tourists’ perception and satisfaction.
