Moors and Christians of Alcoy
The Moors and Christians Festivals of Alcoy are one of the most emblematic celebrations in the Valencian Community, with a tradition that dates back centuries. They commemorate the historical battle between the Moors and Christians, re-enacting the medieval era with great realism. During these days, the city is filled with parades, music, gunpowder, and colourful costumes, attracting visitors from all over.
Date: The traditional dates are 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of April.
Moors and Christians of Cocentaina
In Cocentaina, the Moors and Christians Festivals are also an event of great cultural and social importance. With a festive atmosphere that envelops the entire municipality, the "comparsas" (parade groups) of Moors and Christians march through the streets in honour of their patron saint, Saint Hippolytus. These festivals stand out for their history, their religious devotion, and the active participation of the community.

Alcoy Parade
The Alcoy Three Kings Parade is one of the oldest and most renowned in Spain. Every 5th of January, the Three Kings parade through the city's streets in a spectacle full of magic, lights, and music. This event is especially exciting for the little ones, who eagerly await the arrival of Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar.

Tirisiti Alcoy
The Tirisiti Nativity Scene in Alcoy is a unique Christmas representation that blends tradition, culture, and humour. This puppet theatre, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, has become a symbol of Christmas in Alcoy. Children and adults alike enjoy the adventures of the character Tirisiti and other protagonists who bring this original play to life.

Other Festivities
Ibi flour mill
The Enfarinats festival in Ibi is a unique and entertaining celebration, where participants engage in a ‘battle’ with flour, eggs and firecrackers. With over two centuries of history, this festival is held every 28th December as part of the Day of the Innocents. Chaos and laughter take over the streets on a day that symbolises the reversal of the social order.

All Saints’ Day Fair in Cocentaina
The Fira de Tots Sants in Cocentaina is one of the oldest fairs in Spain, with over 700 years of history. This multi-sector fair attracts thousands of visitors every year, offering a wide variety of products, from crafts to gastronomy, as well as shows and activities for all ages.
